Y'all and the Good Lord know we waited a million years to live in this house, so the master bedroom needed to be the perfect, tranquil setting. After all, we survived living in a camper for 2+ years while we waited 1.5 years for our Pella windows, not to mention, the *electrician saga.* This time last year my hair froze to the wall while I slept. I'm fairly certain I'm the first case of Camper PTSD in the US. You can read more about it in our previous blog post, but we barely survived. No. Joke.
I deserved ONLY the best for this house after my extreme suffrage LOL. I treated myself here, but I will include some more affordable dupe options too!
But first, a Mood Board!
This was my mood board. I highly recommend making one and "seeing it all together" before pulling the trigger on expensive furniture. I like to mix more expensive items with more affordable items for a curated look. Pro Tip: Plan in advance if you have a decor deadline. Some large items take up to 4-6 weeks to ship, even if it's in stock!
Arch Canopy Bed from Crate and Barrel. The quality is amazing. The headboard is a beige woven fabric and looks so high-end.
Dupe Option from Amazon. I also own and love this affordable bed option, even though putting it together almost sent us to marriage counseling.
The Original Rug from Rush House. It's made of sea grass, which is similar to jute, but it barely sheds despite having two large dogs. If a square gets ruined, you simply purchase one new square, cut out the old square, and sew the new one in. It's really easy and requires zero skill.
Bedding from Quince, Target, and Cedar Olivet Orientals. The linen duvet gives a lived in feel and it's a winning combo paired with a vintage pillow. The entire set feels like you're sleeping in a cloud, but still feels cool.
European Linen Duvet Cover in Ivory
Classic Percale Sheets in Windowpane
Euro Heavyweight Linen Blend Comforter Sham in Natural
Casaluna Micro Waffle Bed Blanket in Natural
Herd of Horses Art from Etsy. This one is stretched heavy canvas with a walnut frame.
Custom Art DIY: Do a digital download of the print from Etsy (~$15). Order a matte poster size print (24"x36") from Staples, Office Max, etc ($30). Then buy a 24"x36" wood frame from Michael's for $40.
Brass Sconces from Amazon. We did the magic light trick with these because we didn't think we would have enough room for hard wired sconces with the window placement. These are my favorite magic light trick lightbulbs. They're rechargeable and come with a remote. I just chopped off the sconce cords!
Cloud Chandelier from Anthropologie. Literally a work of art. The glass looks hand blown and does resemble clouds. Swooooon.
Fluted Nightstands from West Elm. We bought the 13" and they're perfect! Plus this size ships much cheaper!
Barrel Chair from Target. I'm honestly impressed with the quality and price of this chair! This Boucle Sphere Pillow is perfect with it, and this Framed Art. I found the horseshoe in our field. Horseshoes: Turn upside down to share luck with others. Keep it right side up to keep luck for yourself.
The cutest brass + marble base Drink Table from Target.
Pleated Lamp Shade + Woven Lamp Base from Target.
Beeswax Taper Candles from Charleston Bee Works.
Similar Arch Mirror from Target. I think I found mine at Home Goods.
Oak Dresser: We already had it and don't have a link or brand, unfortunately.
Wall Color: Sherwin Williams Acacia Haze
Trim Color: Sherwin Williams Shoji White
Flooring: 8" Euro Character White Oak Planks from Hardwoods 4 Less.
Questions? Just ask!
